TARRC Family Fun Day
1st TARRC Family Fun Day

A long queue builds for the BBQ foodOn the gloriously sunny day of Saturday 17th June TARRC held it's first ever staff family fun day on the back lawns of Brickendonbury. The day included events and entertainment for both adults and children and a barbecue. Burgers, sausages, halal food and salad was offered to the 170+ staff and family members who attended. For anyone who fancied a taste of oriental food there were also Asian food stalls with nibbles to buy such as delicious homemade Malaysian curry puffs, spicy fried rice, chicken wings, Thai fishcakes, spring rolls and more.

The day started at 12 noon with a treasure hunt around the beautiful grounds with prizes for all the Children enjoy the bouncy castlechildren who took part. The barbeques were then sparked up and food was available throughout the afternoon. Other activities included a bouncy castle, croquet matches, football kick-abouts and generally sitting around enjoying the sunshine. There was also a raffle that was drawn at the end of the day with a variation of prizes for those staff members holding the winning tickets.

A special thank you goes to Lister Radio who were there playing music all day covering every era and taste. A great day was had by all and people commented on how they really enjoyed themselves and looked forward to coming again next year.
