Greenwich University students visit TARRC

On 10th June 2016 Dr Proma Khondkar and MSc biotech students from Greenwich University visited TARRC.

The biotech students were interested in seeing a commercial company and were invited to see TARRC's state-of-the-art biotechnology laboratories as well as the analytical facilities.

The students found the day very helpful and informative with one of the students Yanika saying, 'Thank you so much for the impressive experience. I learned how to apply knowledge from our class in the real situation and understand the importance of the subjects such as bioinformatics, proteomics and biochemical techniques'.

Another student Nishita said, 'I am so thankful to Dr Kolesnikova-Allen, Head of Biotechnology at TARRC and Dr Proma Khondkar for arranging the trip. The day was great and it gave us a chance to explore not only one area but more. We got to learn about proteomics, about latex testing, bioinformatics, microscopy lab, visits to rubber storage and processing and more. I enjoyed the trip a lot. All the staff members in TARRC were friendly and did an amazing job providing all the information'.
