Deputy Chief Minister of Sarawak visits TARRC

On Saturday 23rd June TARRC was visited by the Deputy Chief Minister of Sarawak, YB Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr Alfred Jabu Numpang and a small delegation.

The delegation was given a briefing by Dr Kamarudin Ab-Malek, TARRC's CEO, regarding TARRC's past and future contributions to the Malaysian rubber industry and the world.

This was Tan Sri Dr Alfred Jabu Numpang's fourth visit to TARRC and he fondly remembered many of TARRC's renowned scientists from his past visits. The delegation was on its way back from visiting the biotechnology international convention, Bio 2012, held in Boston the previous week.

The delegation was taken on a tour of TARRC's laboratories and was given a briefing on many of the areas of work TARRC undertakes including analytical, tyre technology, engineering design and, of particular interest after the visit to the Bio International Convention, the work carried out by the Biotechnology Unit.
