Tire Technology Expo 2008
TARRC will be exhibiting at this year's Tire Technology Expo (TTE) held in Cologne, Germany from 19th-21st February 2008. Now in its eighth year in Europe, TTE is the world's most important Tire Manufacturing Technology Exhibition and Conference and 2008 will be the biggest show yet. TTE offers the visitor a technology showcase covering materials and equipment through the complete spectrum of the tyre manufacturing process. TTE also offers visitors, exhibitors, and conference delegates an unrivalled networking opportunity within the tyre manufacturing sector.
As part of the conference which runs alongside the exhibition, TARRC scientists have been invited to give presentations. The session held on Thursday 21st February is called 'Natural Rubber: The key polymer for tyres from first to last' was organised and will be chaired by TARRC's Director of Research, Dr Andrew Tinker.
The session includes these TARRC presentations:
9.25am Rubber-filler interaction in NR-derived tread compounds and the relationship with tread properties, Dr Stuart Cook
11.05am Low rolling resistance and high wet grip from ENR/silica tread compounds, Paul Brown
Dr Stuart Cook is head of TARRC's Materials Research & Development Division. Paul Brown is Head of the Product Evaluation & Testing Unit.
